Vauxhall just opened a new factory dedicated to Police and Emergency services vehicles in Luton.

The new factory will convert 2,500 vehicles per year include both cars and vans.

The users will be:

  • The police forces
  • The fire services
  • The ambulance services

As a result, 50 new jobs were created.

Vauxhall who owns 70% of the market of emergency vehicles in the UK will convert vehicles as varied as the Combo, the Movano and Vivaro as well as Corsas, Astras, Insignias and Mokkas.

Additionally, the brand claims that 90% of the material required for its emergency services conversions will be sourced from UK suppliers
