Summer is here, and there is a selection of classic car events on the calendar that should satiate even the most avid car enthusiasts. From 30 June to 2 July, the Muscle Cars and More show in Cofton Devon is the North West’s biggest classic American car show.

Expect some of the finest cars in the US to be on display, including Chevrolets, Jeeps, trucks and Cadillacs among many others. The event is currently in its fourth year, and the show will kick off in style with an evening of rockabilly music to set the mood and prepare the atmosphere. On 1 July, a cavalcade of 100 classic American cars will take to the streets, and the procession will then cruise through local areas before stopping for pit at Dawlish Warren.

The highly anticipated Donkey Sanctuary Cars show in Sidmouth, Devon takes place on 2 July. The event is currently in its third year and is gathering momentum with every show. About 400 resplendent vintage and modern cars will be on display at the Donkey Sanctuary, ranging from the humble and unassuming Austin to the opulent and exotic Lamborghini. The event will present live music from local bands and will have a considerable focus on family entertainment, with a children’s area that has options of go-kart rides and a bouncy castle, sure to keep the younger car fans occupied.

From the 28 to 30 July, the Billing off-road show will take place in Billing, Northamptonshire. This rough and tumble event will feature a plethora of 4x4s and Land Rovers, and the exciting prospect of a demonstration of off-road techniques displayed by expert drivers. The event features two off-road courses: the Riverside, which was built 25 years ago, and the more challenging Lakeside course with its notorious mud run. Auto trade stands, Land Rovers club area, beer tent providing real ales, on-site camping, a children’s area and live music are just some of the activities that will be available at this event.
