Here is a chance to own one of just 90 of these special edition Land Rover Defender 90 SVX, number 70 to be exact! Extremely rare, the Defender 90 SVX takes everything great about the peerless off-roader and adds a great deal of style so it will look the part on and off-road.
Built to celebrate 60 years of the Defender, the SVX was built in three body styles with a total of 300 being made. Mechanically, the 4x4’s are essentially identical to the standard Defender, with some updates in the models later years which add some, but not much, refinement.
The car is powered by a 2.4 litre diesel engine with 120 BHP which will provide enough grunt to make cruising comfortable but don’t expect to get up to speed too quickly, 0-60 takes somewhere in the 18 second range.
Refinement isn’t really what anyone buys a Defender for though, driving one is an experience of its own. You will be pleasantly surprised by the exterior and interior changes made in the SVX however.
The SVX defender 90 In Detail
Externally, the black metallic body paint is the first thing that grabs you, followed by the sating black decals down the sides telling the World there is something different about this model. The front grille has been updated, with clear lenses used around the vehicle.
The bonnet also features a satin decal with 60 adorning it proudly. New allows and chrome, piped sidesteps, blacked out rear windows and even a chrome fuel cap to create a stunning look worthy of any drive.
Inside this special edition, you will find the Defender feels a lot more Range Rover like. Heated, Recaro sports seats with part leather hug the driver and front passenger and hugely improve the seating and driving positions. In the back, two half leather, fold to side seats or installed so you can choose between carrying 4 passengers or 4 families worth of shopping with ease. You even get factory fitted sat nav, air con, sun roof, chrome gear knobs and heated front and rear windscreens.
